How long is the course?

The course is 1 day long. In this one day course, you’ll learn the basic maneuvers taught in an L1 SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access course. We’ll teach you the basics of Rope Access, the equipment we use, and discuss how the Rope Access system can be an advantage on your work site! Afterwards, you decide for yourself if a full Rope Access training course is something you want to invest in!

What is the cost?

The cost of the awareness course is $200 plus GST.

What do I get at the end?

In the awareness course, there is no certification given. This is because you'll need to attend the full 5-day course which includes your Assessment. However, if you sign up for a 5-day course within 60 days of your Awareness course, we'll take the cost of the awareness course out of the full course.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide all the equipment that you will need for training. If you have your own CSA approved helmet, you may bring that but it is not necessary. If you are thinking of training in Edmonton with us, you will need to wear long pants and steel toe boots.

What can I expect?

Expect to be on your feet 90% of the time! The rope access course is physically demanding and requires a certain fitness level. Be prepared to sweat!  Our group sizes are usually 6-8 with 2 instructors. Depending on our course scheduling, you may be doing your awareness training with the 5-day course students.
