This choice depends on your company's goals, your clients' preferences, what industry your company operates within, and what provincial jurisdiction is followed. For example, in Alberta, many industries using rope access are partial to IRATA due to IRATA's strict regulations and guidelines. In BC, the provincial regulation states both IRATA and SPRAT are equally acceptable. Many high rise companies will lean towards SPRAT because this allows their employees to upgrade faster and eventually, they will have Level 3 Supervisors on staff quicker than going through the IRATA system.
