PacRopes is looking for Part-time, Casual, and On call Assistant Instructors for work in Richmond, BC and Edmonton, AB.
Hey Rope Techs!! As always, we're looking to expand our training team! Do you enjoy helping others? Do you have inklings of wanting to pass on knowledge? Why not try becoming an instructor? As an Assistant Instructor, you'll be helping our Lead Instructors teach various skills at the IRATA L1. As you gain more experience, you'll also assist in helping with the L2 and L3 skills and maneuvers. You'll learn how to demo skills succinctly and be available for students when they need clarification or have questions.
At PacRopes we are striving to provide quality rope access education that promotes safety in the rope access industry. This means building a rock solid training team. In order to do that, we've created an Instructor Program to help individuals become the best instructors this industry has to offer.

Qualifications and Skills:
- IRATA L2 or L3
- Prefer at least 1 years of experience at your level
- Strong knowledge of equipment specs
- Strong knowledge of IRATA TACS and ICOP
- Willing to learn and expand you knowledge
- Patient, friendly, and approachable
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups
- Organized
- Hardworking
Becoming an instructor isn't a "break" from the field or something you do because you're tired of working outside. There is no OT and wages are generally a little lower than contracting positions. If you're interested because of money and status, then this isn't for you.
